Written by us, from scratch
Every guide on this site is written specifically for this site. We don't copy text from the bank's website, from other guide sites, or from forums, and we don't rewrite other people's pages sentence-by-sentence. Ideas for topics come from real reader problems — the searches people make, the errors they describe, and the questions sent to our contact page — but the explanations, structure and wording are our own work.
One problem per page
Each page exists to solve one clearly defined problem (including pages written for one exact search variant and the distinct situation of the person who typed it). If two drafts start saying the same thing, we merge them or rewrite one with a genuinely different angle. Readers should never have to open three of our pages and read the same paragraphs three times.
Checking our facts
Procedural claims — addresses, steps, requirements — are checked against the bank's publicly available information before publication, and the official login destination we link to is verified as the bank's own domain. Where the bank changes its process, our pages can lag behind; we re-check core login content on a regular cycle and immediately when a reader reports a discrepancy.
Knowing our limits — and printing them
We have never seen the inside of your business's NAB Connect account, and some things only the bank or your administrator can verify or fix. Our guides are required to say so at the exact point a problem crosses that line, and to give the official route rather than a workaround. We would rather end a guide honestly than pad it with speculation presented as fact.
Safety content is non-negotiable
Every login-related page must carry the domain-verification message: check you are on nab.com.au before entering credentials. It is repeated across pages deliberately, because readers arrive on any page, not necessarily the homepage, and a person in a hurry reads only the page they landed on.
Corrections
Anyone can trigger a correction: tell us what's wrong and where. Verified errors are fixed on the page itself; significant changes to steps are noted at the next scheduled review. We don't quietly delete reader reports — if you took the trouble to write, you get a reply.
Commercial transparency
This project is independent of the bank; no bank pays for, approves or reviews our content. The site is funded by its publisher, and commercial considerations never decide what a guide says or which problems we cover.
